I’ve been waiting to write this post for nearly 3 weeks now!
I’m starting a new chapter in my life and I’m so bloody excited!
We all know I’m currently working on the Welfare to Work Schemes. Well from next Thursday (4/5/17) I WONT BE!
I handed in my notice nearly 3 weeks ago now, and I’ve only got one week to go!
Now, to most people quitting your job is a scary thing! I done it because I was / am insanely unhappy and it affected my mental health.
So I handed in my notice and started looking for a new job. I applied for at least 10 in one night.
Right after, I texted Derek, and we decided it would be best to start looking for our own place together. We also decieded all further applications should be to places near him, so I made more job applicaions to places nearer to him.
Then I was down at his for the weekend. Then we decided to start applying for flats and houses. One night and at least 30 messages to agents later, we got a call to view a flat in a small village.
I also got an email saying I had an interview that same day! So we viewed the flat first. I’ve included some pictures of it below.
The viewing went so well, we put in our offer that day and got the flat!
Then I had my interview, and it went so amazingly well! I even got my email the next day saying I had the job! It all felt really fast at first, but now it feels like everything is just falling into the perfect place!
Since then I’ve had my Welcome meeting at the new job, and got my uniform. I officially started on the 21st April, but my first ever shift will be 5th May, due to having to finish working my notice.
I’m so happy now!
Not only have we got our own place, but I’ve got a new job, and everything is falling into place perfectly!
We’ve been making trips to IKEA and buying different things for the flat. I had no idea how much stuff is needed just to make somewhere liveable!
So please excuse me for the next week or so as I do the final bits of my move!
I promise I’ll be back with a bang after it! And I’ll be doing a house tour video for my YouTube Channel so keep an eye out for it!
