It’s another #GGBlogChallenge Post!
Todays theme is what are you thankful for! It really is well known that we all tend to forget to tell people what we’re thankful for.
I feel especially after me getting sick, and needing so much extra help, I have so much to be thankful for. So I would expect a very gushy post.
Heres something you all don’t know – I’ve been living with horrible pain due to galstones. I’ve been in A&E twice with it, and during both of these horrific experainces, I’ve had two people by my side the whole time. My amazing mother, and my fabulous Boyfriend.
Today I want to tell them how thankful I am for both of them, using my blog.
During my most recent A&E visit, my mum was actually out, and I had to call her because the pain was so bad I was vomiting. Within 10 minutes of Derek and I arriving at A&E, she was there. She made sure everything was OK, comforted me when it got bad, held my hand during the whole thing (even when I tried to push her away!), and made sure I was properly explaining my problems.
Without her there pushing me to tell them how much worse it was getting, I would likely still be in extreme pain. Also, it would have been a long sit in A&E.
She even made sure I was OK whenever I started vomiting about two weeks ago when the pain flared up. She then proceeded to sit in bed with me, cuddling me until I managed to get to sleep.
Without her, I’d be so very lost. I can’t even put into words how much she means to me!
Gosh, I love this boy. The first time my pain flared up badly, I thought it was my appendix. He drove me to A&E at 1 AM to make sure I got the help I needed, even though he was literally shattered!
He sat with me the whole time and held my hand throughout it all.
With the most recent A&E Visit, he also got to be my driver, and made sure I was OK, even when he was feeling so run down and tired.
Without him, I’d be lost. He has been helping me so much through my pains, and I can’t thank him enough for the late nights when he’s cuddled me until I fell asleep and made sure I’m OK.
